Welcome to Eat & Mess weddings! Kate and her team have been making wedding cakes, dessert tables and favours for over 12 years, and we love creating beautiful bespoke cakes for each of our couples. Our professional team will work with you to help bring your wedding cake designs to reality.
Eat & Mess specialises in freehand frosted and naked cakes and dessert tables, and piped swag cakes in single and multi tiers, using our signature Swiss meringue buttercream. We use organic flours and locally sourced ingredients, handmade in small batches to our own award winning recipes, including vegan and gluten free options. We deliver and set up at your chosen venue across Kent and London, and liaise with florists and coordinators so you can relax knowing we are taking care of the details. Our Process
As part of our wedding process we require initial details in order to design your cake or dessert table. You can fill in our enquiry form here, and we will be in touch. We also suggest trying a selection of our flavour samples too. Please note we can tailor any of our flavours to be free from on request.
First Steps
Please get in touch with as much notice as possible, to secure your date.
Following your enquiry, we will be able to provide you with an estimate and suggested size.
Our samples are in mini cake form and can be collected from our Bakery (Tues-Sat). They cost £15. We can organise postal samples on request.
Finalising details
We will book in a zoom consultation to go over all the final design details and logistics for the day. This is £25 which is redeemable against your order.
A 50% deposit of the total is required to confirm your booking. We will send a card payment link where all cards are accepted.
The final payment will be due one month prior to your wedding date.
The Big Day!
We will be in touch with you 2 weeks prior to your wedding date to reconfirm details, and make any necessary amendments should they be required.
A final payment link will be sent at this time.
We will deliver and set up your order to your venue at the chosen time on the day of your wedding. We will dress cakes on site by prior arrangement with your florist and venue.
